    Like many of Worcester’s finest residents, Noel Stemn immigrated to the city from Monrovia, Liberia when he was 6 years old. “I immigrated here during a time of civil war in Liberia.     For almost four decades, the Midtown Mall has been a dubious landmark in the heart of Worcester’s downtown area. Even as the rest of the city evolved around it, 22 Front St. continued to fall into disrepair — barren with a few businesses eking out a profit amid three levels of largely empty storefronts.

    “I passed the Midtown Mall every single day to and from school,” said Noel Stemn, who went to Nativity School of Worcester on Irving Street. “I remember this building very well. It was very empty, there wasn’t anything good going on in here.”…

    “It truly means everything. We want to be a staple in our community.     Since our reopening on May 6th, 2021, nativity Worcester has welcomed not only our students, staff, and faculty back to the building but a number of graduates as well. After two and a half years of a pandemic, 120 nativity Worcester graduates returned to the building to reconnect with teachers, students, and fellow graduates. This represents over 50% of nativity Worcester graduates! In addition to visiting and attending events, some of our graduates have recently been welcomed into our community of faculty and staff.
